THE GREAT OUTDOORS

If you're looking to get out and see some of the wildlife and wilderness, the French River Provincial Park and thousands of acres of crown land surround us. Bring your boat, canoe, kayak, bike or hiking boots and challenge the great outdoors. Guided tours of the river are available through René's French River Cruises and the nearby Mashkinonje Provincial Park has an excellent system of hiking trails.

FISHING

For over 50 years the French River has enjoyed a well deserved reputation for it's fishing quality. Ontario's most sought after game fish are here: walleye (pickerel), muskie, northern pike and small and large mouth bass. Fishing guides are available, please inquire at time of booking.

BOATING

We have canoes, kayaks and a peddle boat available for our guest to enjoy. Motor boats are available for rent on a daily or weekly basis.

Boat rentals include life jackets and all required safety equipement. Gasoline and taxes are extra. A damage deposit is required for all rentals.

NOÉLVILLE

About 20 km away, Noélville is our closest town and can satisfy most of your shopping needs. The town has a grocery store and beer and liquor stores, as well as restaurants, a bar, laundromat and various other stores. There is also a library, medical clinic and dentist in town.

AREA ATTRACTIONS

The nearby Graywalk Buffalo Ranch offers horseback riding with adventurous trail rides through the buffalo to Uncle Tom's cabin. Call 705-898-1248 for details

The City of Sudbury is about an hours drive from here and features attractions such as Science North and Dynamic Earth, movie theaters and, of course, more shopping.

There are a number of golf courses in the area.

The Maples is a new, innovative tri-par course that is only minutes down the road from Bryer Lodge. This 9 hole "home of the par 90" has rentals, a driving range, pro-shop and licensed restaurant. Call 705-898-2400 for details.

Meadow Springs Golf Course is an eighteen hole par 70 course just down the highway from Noélville. It has a full proshop, snack bar, golf cart and club rentals. 705-898-2596
